What We Do
Art
Fiesta encourages the unique expression of struggling
artists and their endeavors with promoting their work.
We support a wide variety of arts and the joy art brings
in our lives.
Art
Fiesta's purpose is:
- To
provide a free venue for local artists
- To
raise awareness of talented local artists with
Art Fiesta's mission
- To
support local programs
- To
enhance the artistic environment through the
showcase of artists

Most
importantly, it's what you don't see. You will not see
the headaches. You will not see the sleepless nights.
You will not see the large amounts of coffee that we
need to drink to continue on with our normal daily routine.
You will not see the upset friends and family that we
had to ignore because we were busy planning for our
next event.
So
in light of this, we decided to show what some of the
questions we had to ponder when we first decided to
start Art Fiesta:
- Why
are we deciding to put on Art Fiesta?
- What
do we want to achieve by having Art Fiesta and
its events?
- Is
there a need or an interest in the community?
- Is
an event the best way to achieve our goals?
- Is
there enough time to organize our event(s) and
for promotions and distribution so that it will
be most effective?
- Does
anyone have Aspirin with them?
- Do
we have the resources to raise money to pay
for advertising and for the license and insurance
to hold the event?
- When
should we hold the event?
- Will
the hot Arizona sun be a factor?
- How
many people can we get to "volunteer"
to help with Art Fiesta?
- How
many people can we get to be involved to help?
- Do
we have enough people and resources to organize
the event?
- Does
this make sense after answering the above questions?
If so, move to 14.
- What
is our budget for this event?
- Who
needs to be the contact person for the event?
- Is
there any special equipment needed for the event?
- How
many people do we anticipate in attending the
event?
- We'll
take a large coffee.....can you leave room for
cream & sugar?
- What
about parking?
- Will
the sprinklers be turned off for the event?
- How
will we handle trash on the premises?
- Is
there lighting in case we go into the night?
- Will
artist's be able to sell their pieces?
- How
can they obtain a seller's permit and how much
does that cost?
- What
else can we do to help the community or a local
program?
- Do
they have donation bins?
|
We
can go on and on, but you get the picture. We do the
work. We deal with the many personalities such an event
can throw at us. The local artists benefit. The community
get's to see some great artwork. And we can hopefully
get some sleep afterwards.
